Francesca’s work includes contributions to The New York Times, Brain, Child Magazine, Word Riot, Drunken Boat Literary Magazine, xojane, Ed Week/Teacher among others. She graduated from Stanford University with a BA and MA in Education and from Harvard University with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, with a focus on Writing Education and Giving Feedback for Actual Writing Improvement.
Francesca teaches a personal narrative course each year with Dr. Nancy Sommers at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She also teaches personal narrative workshops, and runs workshops on teaching writing all over the world. She works with young people on their college essays and she loves to work with writers on in-process manuscripts at any stage of writing.
Francesca lives in Newton, MA with her husband and two children. She is currently working on a novel, THE NIGHT NURSE and a memoir, LOVE SICK.
